Rehabilitative Massage Therapist
Bio & Description
I provide skilled rehabilitation massage, incorporating a variety of techniques to treat and prevent injuries/issues that may arise from sports, repetitive stress, or weekend warrior activities.
Area of Expertise (Sports and Body Areas)
I provide rehabilitative massage utilizing a variety of techniques, including but not limited to deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and sportsmassage, in order to prevent and treat injuries from sports, and life. I have worked a lot with runners, cyclists, swimmers, and people play tennis, soccer, or ski, as well as the weekend warrior.
Background and Personal Athletic Experience
I have been a massage therapist and small-business owner for over 20 years, and before that I was a Speech-Language Pathologist for 6 years. I’ve worked extensively with athletes during my massage years, successfully rehabbing them back from a variety of injuries.
I have also been a runner (half-marathon and marathons mostly) for almost 12 years, and was a distance cyclist before that. I recently completed my first half-Ironman triathlon, and plan on doing more. I’ve had my share of injuries over the years, and have found various forms of bodywork to be what saves me and allows me to continue doing the things I love.
